Vision Statement

Assure the future of our tigers as part of Malaysian and world heritage.

Our vision is to ensure that the Malayan tiger is valued as a critical part of our Malaysian and world heritage, and that all steps are taken to preserve and improve our tigers’ chances for survival in the long term.

Our vision incorporates a future where our tiger numbers increase rapidly, they can prosper in well-managed forests with ample prey species for them to feed on, where the threat of poaching has been eliminated, snares have been cleared and no longer represent a dire threat to the well-being of tigers and other forest animals.

We believe that protecting the Malayan tiger, a flagship species,  will help  to ensure that our fauna, flora and biodiversity is conserved for our future generations and that of the world.

SAVING OUR TIGERS

Unless significant protecting is put in place, tigers could all soon face extinction in the wild.

MALAYAN TIGER

Unique to the Malayan Peninsular, the Malayan tiger is the symbol of our national pride.

Tigers are considered as an ‘umbrella species’

In order to thrive, the Malayan tiger needs space to roam and other animals like Sambar deer and wild boar to prey on. Ensuring the safety of the tiger and its habitat will directly protect many other species. In fact, the presence of tigers in the forest reflects a healthy ecosystem. Dismantling the snares set for tigers will also keep other animals from harm.

The Malayan tiger is at an existential tipping point. Help us in saving this iconic animal and its habitat.

Sambar Deer

In the 1950’s, 3,000 tigers roamed our forest, today less than 180 left in the wild.
